Music-to-Your-Mouth

Music to Your Mouth: A Night of Revelry at Palmetto Bluff

Palmetto Bluff is an idyllic Lowcountry community where you can vacation or put down roots. An annual highlight in our community is the Music to Your Mouth event. This year’s celebration takes place over the course of 4 evenings, beginning Thursday, November 15 through Sunday, November 18. It celebrates the best music, food and drinks our region offers. Meet your neighbors, support your local farmers and artists, and join a thriving community committed to land conservation and the continuation of our unique South Carolina heritage.

The MTYM Story

The Music to Your Mouth story began 12 years ago when a small cadre of Southern food and drink fanatics gathered together and put their imaginations and appetites to bear on developing a unique event and created a celebration of Southern fare, creating a rich sensory experience.

Music to Your Mouth integrates chefs, vintners, brewers, distillers and artisans from the South, and around the globe, to celebrate the tastes, sips and sounds of the South.

12th Annual Music to Your Mouth

This well-seasoned event keeps getting better! Some highlights to check out at this year’s festival include King Bean Roaster who will be serving cold brew cocktails at “Big Carol’s Big Dinner”, NYT bestselling author, Jordan Mackay, who will be educating us about American Chardonnay at the Culinary Salon, and husband-and-wife-team Colby and Megan Garretts, of Rye and Bluestem in Kansas City, will be offering a marriage of outstanding culinary skills.

Second Helpings rescues food destined for landfills from restaurants, caterers, resorts and grocery markets daily and distributes it to 65 non-profit agencies who feed our local food challenged population.

The MTYM annual revelry is not limited to four evenings of food and fun but has “legs” in our deeply rooted community. MTYM has contributed more than $115,000 to Second Helpings over the years, to help feed over 750,000 local residents in Beaufort, Jasper and Hampton counties in southeastern South Carolina.
